  1. What are SMS Verification Codes?
    SMS Verification Codes provide an additional layer of security to your accounts. The code will be sent to your registered mobile phone number.
     
  2. Does it cost anything?
    We do not charge a fee to use your mobile phone for SMS Verification Codes. However, your mobile phone service provider may impose fees and charges for sending and receiving messages. You should contact your provider if you have any queries in relation to fees and charges.
     
  3. How do I register for SMS Verification Codes?
    Once you are registered for Internet Banking access you will be automatically registered for SMS Verification Codes.
     
  4. When is an SMS Verification Code required?
    An SMS Verification Code is required on login to Internet Banking. Further to this, you may be prompted for another SMS Verification Code when completing other tasks, such as adding or sending payments to new payees, updating contact details and viewing statements.
     
  5. How does it work?
    On login, you will automatically receive an SMS Verification Code to your mobile. Once you’ve logged in to Internet Banking and you are performing an activity that requires SMS validation, you will be prompted with a button to Get SMS which will send a randomly generated 6-digit authorisation code to your registered mobile phone.
     
  6. How do I Modify/Temporarily Disable?
    There may be a need to change your registered mobile phone number or temporarily disable SMS Verification Codes for a period of time. If this is the case, please contact us.
     
  7. Can I De-register?
    SMS Verification Codes are compulsory for all members using Internet Banking so that we can provide this extra level of security. If you have any concerns or would like to discuss further, please contact us.
     
  8. Can I make payments using SMS Verification Codes overseas?
    Yes, you can send and receive SMS while overseas if your handset and SIM card allow global roaming and the country you are in operates via a compatible network. Check these details with your mobile phone service provider prior to heading overseas.
     
  9. What do I do if I lose my mobile phone?

  10. What happens if I receive an SMS Verification Code and I’m not currently logged into Internet Banking?
    You should contact us immediately.
